Bayesian Networks and AnyLogic

Anylogic is able to integrate other modeling methodologies, for example Bayes Nets. Anylogic offers an existing integration with a Bayes Net tool (sold separately). Bayesian networks can be used to model decision making processes of agents or other probabilistic reasoning processes and uncertainty.

Bayesian networks are use to model probabilistic causality. They are very effective in situations where data or evidence is not complete or is uncertain. A Bayesian network is made up of nodes. Each node has conditional probabilities defined to represent probabilistic causal relationships to other nodes. These can be used by agents to make decisions based on partial evidence or under uncertain conditions.
